The Southwest Nephrology Conference was launched in October 1999 in Scottsdale, Arizona. This educational activity was originally developed for the ESRD healthcare team, including nephrologists, transplant surgeons, general surgeons, surgical and nephrology nurses, dialysis technicians, social workers and renal dietitians. It was also designed to be of interest to primary care physicians and other health care professionals.
Positively influencing the quality of life and survival of dialysis patients is at the heart of this activity, which includes the patient’s perspective of the dialysis experience. Conference themes have focused on optimizing patient outcomes through demonstrated best practices that apply to a multidisciplinary audience from throughout the United States as well as Canada, Mexico and other parts of the world.
The 2015 Southwest Nephrology Conference will be held February 27 & 28, at the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center in Scottsdale, AZ. Upcoming agenda details and registration will be available on www.SWNC.org.
