April 22nd is the twenty-second anniversary of Erma Bombeck’s passing. It is in her honor that this special tribute performance is being held. Fountain Hills Theater will share a portion of the proceeds with the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona to benefit the Erma Bombeck Project. Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End is a funny, touching one-woman comedy based on the writings of longtime Valley resident Erma Bombeck. It’s a comic look at one of our country’s most beloved voices, as Erma (Cathy Dresbach) tells her own story and leads the audience through her years as a mother and housewife who lampooned life in the suburbs in her weekly (then tri-weekly, then heavily syndicated) newspaper column called “At Wit’s End.” Erma captured frustrations of her generation by asking, “If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doing in the pits?” Discover the story behind America’s beloved humorist who championed women’s lives with wit that sprang from the most unexpected place of all—the truth.

“Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC
